In The Begining Run The Game has been around since
March 2008 trying to break in to the rap game. Charles Armstead (Louz
Wate) and Joshua Spellman (Python The Don). The two brothers hale from
Montclair, NJ. Run
The Game was formed one day in March when Louz Wate was messing around
online and found a program called Audacity which enabled voice
recording over an instrumental. He called his brother Python The Don
and said “let’s do it”.
Later
that week they bought a microphone and started lacing a track. Pop the
Model was a big hit with friends and family. Everyone thought they had
what it takes to be the best in rap. The only problem was that the
instrumental used on that track was someone else's. 16 tracks later they did a show in the back yard of 28 Martin rd. 50 people showed up and ran with the game that night. Run The Game also added Pat Burns (Lex-184) as the first Foot-soldier in the group. He did the opening track with Louz Wate “Bring The Pain”. Run The Game has now formed a new collaboration group called GENOSYDE?. In this new group there are 5 members (Louz Wate, Python The Don, Lex, Caveman, and J-Lock). The History Point Of View LOUZ WATE: "It all started out one day in 1988 when I heard the track by Public
Enemy “Bring the Noise”. I knew it was on then so I’ve been sitting on
the sideline until I was ready. Free-styling at the mall with the crew
(Al and AJ) and then some shows. I did a couple tracks with NonsencE
(Jammin J Wilson) but nothing really happened. Al, AJ and I then
created Armed4siz. I loved it and everyone loved us. Freestyle battling
was fun but I wanted something different. So I left and ran with
Funstickz (John Randazzo) for a bit. At that time I was known as TDS
(Test Da Skillz). We did two tracks and one show, but it got old really
quick. Now I’ve found the one who wants it as much as i do “Python The Don”. We are Run The Game and we are here to stay. “Wate it out”." PYTHON THE DON: "It all started when I heard one of my favorite lyricists, The Game, rip
up the rap game with the track “start from scratch”. I felt like he was
a real artist like myself. He related his life to his music as a sense
of poetry. That motivated me to put my life out in public. Since that
day, I have bled music, and that is how I became the lyricist I am
today. This is not the full history of Python The Don, because I make
history every time I lace or jump on a track. I’m here to stay. Run It." |
